Don’t Forget: Sarasota’s Annual Coastal Cleanup will be Saturday, Sept. 24
Keep Sarasota County Beautiful (KSCB) is seeking volunteers to help clean coastal and other areas during the 2011 International Coastal Cleanup from 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 24, at sites throughout Sarasota County. Volunteers can sign up for event by contacting Keep Sarasota County Beautiful at 941-861-5399.
“This is one of our most popular events every year because so much of the Sarasota community lifestyle revolves around the beaches,” said Sandra Washington, Keep Sarasota County Beautiful manager. “It’s a lot of fun and many groups make it a social event with beach parties and gatherings after they get done at their location.”
Individuals or groups that have not signed up for the event are still encouraged to participate at any of the sites listed at scgov.net. Make sure to wear your embroidered or screenprinted logowear to identify your group.
