Q: Can I take the embroidery out of this item and embroider a new name, monogram, or logo on it?
A: The answer is you are probably better off replacing the item and starting off from scratch. The process of embroidery is fairly permanent in the sense that when an item is embroidered a needle pokes thousands of little holes in the substrate (or material) being embroidered. If you were to remove the embroidery you would find a piece of material with a bunch of little holes poked into it that has lost its original manufactured integrity.
Q: Is there a set-up fee every time I want embroidery done?
A: No, we save the digitized art or logo in our computer files to be used again. But if you want the size of your embroidery changed by more than +/- 10% it may need to be re-digitized in order to keep the design’s integrity. There would be another set-up fee. We save all sizes and versions of your art or logo for future use.
Q: Does the number of colors in my design affect the cost?
A: Not over 12 colors. With embroidery, you can change the colors at any time. Many customers prefer a uniform look of their design, so they keep colors consistent with their brand. Setting up standard colors for light vs. dark garments is very helpful for re-orders.
